What causes bacterial vaginosis?

Bacterial vaginosis can be caused by:

  • Having multiple sex partners

  • Too much frequent douching

  • Hormonal changes

  • Antibiotics

  • Menstruation

  • Foreign objects left in the vagina

  • Exposure to stds

  • Iuds and diaphragms

  • Anything that can upset the balance of good and bacteria in the vagina.
